The movie picks up where the first film left off, with the Templeton family - parents Ted and Jill (voiced by Steve Buscemi and Lisa Kudrow), and their two brothers, Tim and Boss Baby - living a happy life. However, their world is turned upside down when Boss Baby's old rival, Fran Francis (voiced by ViviAnn Yee), launches a rival company called Puppy Co., which threatens to put the Templeton family's business, Puppy Inc., out of commission.
