Evelyn and Max decide to complete the project, which they call "PIN" (Physically Independent Nexus). They succeed in creating a computer program that contains Dr. Caster's consciousness, allowing him to continue his research. As PIN begins to evolve, it becomes increasingly powerful and starts to exhibit extraordinary abilities, blurring the lines between human and machine.
