The movie takes place in London, where Shaun (Simon Pegg) is struggling to come to terms with his mundane life. He's recently dumped by his girlfriend, Liz (Kate Ashfield), and his best friend, Ed (Matt Lucas), is a bit of a simpleton. When a zombie outbreak occurs, Shaun finds himself at the center of the apocalypse. Alongside his mother, Helen (Penelope Wilton), and a ragtag group of survivors, Shaun must fight to stay alive and rescue Liz.
