The game Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe was born out of an idea to bring together two vastly different universes: the dark, violent world of Mortal Kombat and the superhero-rich DC Comics universe. The concept was to create a game that would pit iconic characters from both worlds against each other in a battle for the ages. The Story Mode In the story mode, the player navigates through a narrative that ties the characters from both universes together. The story centers around Shao Kahn, the ruler of Outworld from the Mortal Kombat universe, who becomes obsessed with the idea of merging the Mortal Kombat universe with the DC Universe to create a new, superior reality. Kahn's plan sets off a chain of events that draws the attention of various heroes and villains from both universes.
