The movie is a retelling of the classic fairy tale "Jack and the Beanstalk." Jack (played by Nicholas Hoult) is a brave and kind-hearted young man who trades his only possession, a cow, for magic beans. The beans grow into a giant beanstalk that leads to a kingdom in the sky, where Jack meets a beautiful princess named Jill (played by Eleanor Tomlinson). However, their adventure is disrupted by the evil giant, Lord Killigrew (played by Mark Rylance), who seeks to destroy the kingdom and rule over the land.
