The film takes place in 1935, one year before the events of "Raiders of the Lost Ark". Dr. Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is hired by a wealthy industrialist to find a valuable stone, but things take a dark turn when Indy discovers that the stone is part of a powerful Hindu temple. As he navigates the treacherous world of ancient relics and rival expeditions, Indy must confront his own demons and face the evil forces of Mola Ram (Amrish Puri).
