The movie revolves around Dr. Arthur Kemp (Kevin Bacon), a scientist who works for a top-secret research facility. He and his colleague, Dr. Frank Harts (Tommy Lee Jones), develop an invisibility serum, which they test on themselves. However, things take a dark turn when they realize that the serum has an unintended consequence: it makes the subject hollow, devoid of a soul.
