The film follows the story of Auden West, a high school student who meets Reese Rosen, a charming and charismatic musician. As they fall deeply in love, they make a pact to attend the same college in the fall. However, their plans are put in jeopardy when Auden's parents announce that they will be moving to California for her father's job.
