Despite her fearsome reputation, Groteus was not invincible. Legends spoke of a prophecy that foretold the coming of a hero, one who would challenge her reign of terror and bring balance to the realm of Ascension. This hero, known only as "The Ascendant," was said to possess abilities that could rival those of Groteus.
